Where Will They Find the Troops to Fight Three More Wars?
Many peace-loving people are pinning their hopes for no more additional wars from the Bush cabal on the fact that the US military is extremely overextended.
Unfortunately, that may not prevent the US from invading Iran, Syria, and Venezuela. How will they get the troops? From several sources. First, they are going to tank the economy soon. That will cause an "economic draft" where young people will have to join the military or starve. Of coure, there will also be a real draft soon. One thing they have been doing very quietly is reciruiting among illegal immigrants as well as among would-be immigrants in Latin America promising them and their families citizenship if they go to Iraq and fight for the US. And here's the cool part for our psychopathic leaders: when those soldiers die, they don't have to count them as fatalities! They don't even have to ship the bodies back, they just bury them in Iraq.
Finally, there's another innovation they are working on. I heard on NPR (National Propaganda Radio) this morning that they are working on a plan to send amputees back to Iraq to perform whatever functions they can in active duty. Soon getting your leg blown off won't be a ticket home. Of course it is still on a volunteer basis and they are spinning it as a positive. NPR interviewed an amputee who really wants to go back and continue to serve his country.
